Johannesburg, Gauteng
The TV installer that actually knows Johannesburg
Johannesburg is the kind of city where every install is a little different. A duplex in Sandton has solid double-brick walls and high ceilings. A new-build townhouse in Fourways is mostly drywall over a timber frame. A loft in Maboneng is concrete with exposed services. And a family home in Linden could be anything from a 1950s plaster wall to a renovated open-plan extension. Knowing how to mount safely in each is the difference between a good install and a story your neighbour tells about a TV that fell off the wall.
We are a Johannesburg-based mobile TV mounting team, on the road every day across the city and the wider Gauteng metro. We install in homes, apartments, townhouses, offices, restaurants and retail — and we know the wall types, the access constraints, the building rules and the route between suburbs that lets us get to you on time.
Suburbs we cover in Johannesburg
The list below is not exhaustive — if your suburb isn't named, we almost certainly still cover it. These are simply the areas we get booked into most often.

- Randburg — Ferndale, Linden, Cresta, Northcliff, Blairgowrie, Robindale.
- Roodepoort — Constantia Kloof, Wilropark, Weltevredenpark, Honeydew, Ruimsig.
- Rosebank & Parktown — Rosebank, Parkwood, Saxonwold, Parktown North, Forest Town.

The most common Johannesburg installs we handle
1. Sandton apartment installs
Apartments in Sandton, Sandhurst and the Atholl/Inanda strip are almost always solid concrete or concrete-and-blockwork construction, with services in the ceiling void rather than the walls. That changes how we approach cable management: in-wall HDMI runs are usually not possible without invasive chasing, so we lean on premium slim trunking, painted to match the wall. Done well, it disappears.
Body corporates in some of the higher-end Sandton complexes require notification before any drilling. We are happy to provide a method statement or insurance details if your block needs them — just message us in advance.
2. Fourways and Bryanston family homes
The northern suburbs — Fourways, Bryanston, Hyde Park, Hurlingham — are a mix of older double-brick walls and newer drywall partitions in renovated open-plan spaces. We arrive expecting both. The big advantage in this part of Joburg is generous wall space, so we often spec full-motion brackets for open-plan lounge-kitchens where you want to see the TV from two different seating zones.
Homes around Lonehill, Cedar Lakes and Dainfern Valley estates are typically masonry — perfect for fixed or tilt mounts at the cleanest viewing height. Cable concealment is usually straightforward here.
3. Townhouse complexes in Northriding and Sunninghill
Townhouse construction across the northern suburbs is increasingly drywall with timber stud framing. Stud anchoring is the safe, correct choice — never just plasterboard plugs. We carry a stud finder on every install and locate the framing before we drill. If your unit has services or pipework hidden behind the wall, we will find them first.
4. Rosebank, Parkhurst and Linden lifestyle installs
The Rosebank/Parkhurst/Linden belt is full of beautifully renovated homes where the install detail matters. Customers here usually want fully invisible cabling, soundbar mounting that lines up perfectly with the TV centre, and a setup that survives a Sunday afternoon house tour. We bring laser levels, paint-matched trunking (where in-wall isn't possible) and the patience to get the centre line exactly right.
5. JHB CBD lofts and creative spaces
Downtown installs — Maboneng, Newtown, Braamfontein — are usually concrete, often with exposed services. We treat them with the same care we'd give a residential install: rated rawl bolts on concrete, careful planning around exposed conduits and pipework, and respect for the industrial aesthetic.
6. Southern suburbs family installs
Mondeor, Glenvista, Meredale and the broader south Johannesburg area are typically double-brick family homes with solid wall structures. Most installs here are fixed or tilt mounts in lounges and bedrooms, with in-wall HDMI runs where the layout allows. We cover the south just as routinely as the north — same response time, same pricing.

How long does it take you to get to my Joburg suburb?
From the moment you confirm a booking, we typically have a technician at your door within 2 to 5 hours for most northern, central and western suburbs. Same-day slots are easiest if you book before midday. We treat traffic seriously — if your suburb is on the wrong side of an N1 jam at 4pm, we will tell you and suggest a different slot rather than turn up late.
Johannesburg-specific things to be aware of
Load-shedding and setup
We do not test smart TV connections during a power outage — pointless. If load-shedding is scheduled during your install slot, we will either start before it begins and complete cabling during the outage, or reschedule the smart setup portion. We will always confirm the plan with you in advance.
Body corporate and complex rules
Several Sandton, Fourways and Sunninghill complexes require advance notice of any drilling, plus written approval from trustees. If you're in a complex with these rules, give us a heads-up when you book — we are happy to send method statements or insurance details.
Heritage and freehold homes
Older homes in Saxonwold, Parktown, Houghton and parts of the south sometimes have plastered double-brick walls where a sloppy install can crack the plaster. We use lower-impact drilling techniques and dust-control measures on heritage installs. If you have a specific concern about an older wall, tell us before we arrive.
Why customers in Johannesburg choose us
The TV mounting market in JHB is crowded. Why our customers come back, recommend us to friends, and leave 5-star reviews comes down to a short list: we arrive when we said we would, we install on the right anchor for the right wall, we hide cables properly, we test everything before we leave, and we stand behind the work with a workmanship guarantee. There is no big secret to good service — it is just doing the boring bits properly, every time.
