Cape Town, Western Cape
TV mounting in the Mother City — done properly
Cape Town is the kind of city where your TV install needs to respect the view. A 65-inch screen badly mounted in front of a Camps Bay sunset, or a crooked bracket on a Constantia oak-floored lounge, sticks out in a way that flatter cities forgive. Our Cape Town installations are handled by a dedicated Western Cape technician who knows the local wall types, the salt-air conditions on the Atlantic Seaboard, and the difference between a Newlands plaster wall and a Sea Point apartment block.
We bring the same standard of work to Cape Town that we deliver across Gauteng: VESA-correct brackets, the right anchors for the actual wall, hidden cables wherever possible, and a calibrated smart TV that is ready to watch the moment we leave. The only difference is lead time — Cape Town bookings sometimes take a day or two extra to slot in, so message us early if you are working to a specific date.

Common Cape Town installs
Atlantic Seaboard apartments
Apartments along the Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Mouille Point strip are predominantly solid concrete construction, with services hidden in the ceiling void rather than the walls. That means in-wall HDMI runs usually aren't practical — we lean on premium slim trunking, painted to match. Done right, the cabling is invisible at viewing distance, and the install survives the salt air better than poorly sealed in-wall conduit would.
Many newer Sea Point and V&A apartments require body corporate notification before drilling. We are happy to send method statements and technician details in advance — just give us a heads-up when you book.
Camps Bay & Clifton villa installs
Villa installs along the Atlantic Seaboard often involve double-volume living rooms with extraordinary views. The TV needs to be mounted at exactly the right height to share centre stage with the view — too high and it dominates, too low and it competes with the horizon. We measure carefully and confirm placement with you before we drill. Full-motion brackets are popular here because they let you angle the screen between indoor and patio seating.
Constantia, Bishopscourt & Newlands family homes
The Southern Suburbs are full of beautifully maintained older homes — solid double-brick walls in many cases, plus thatched roofs and exposed wooden beams in some Constantia properties. Solid masonry takes a TV mount perfectly. Where customers want hidden cabling, the depth of the brickwork sometimes means surface trunking is the smarter choice than aggressive chasing into the wall.
Northern Suburbs townhouses
Modern townhouse developments through Bellville, Durbanville, Brackenfell and Kraaifontein lean drywall construction. We anchor into the timber studs wherever possible, and use rated toggle bolts where stud spacing doesn't allow direct anchoring. Cable concealment in drywall is usually clean and fully invisible.
Beach houses & patio TVs
Outdoor and semi-outdoor installs along Bloubergstrand, Noordhoek and the False Bay coast need stainless or galvanised fixings to resist salt air. We discuss outdoor placement carefully — a covered patio with controlled airflow is fine for an indoor TV; a fully exposed mount needs a weather-rated TV and enclosure. We will tell you honestly what is and isn't a sensible install for your space.

Lead times & what to expect
Because our Cape Town team is smaller than our Gauteng team, we typically need a day or two of notice to slot in. Same-day Cape Town bookings are possible but not guaranteed — message us early in the week for weekend slots, and the day before for a weekday install. We will always confirm a realistic time before you commit.
If you are in a hurry and you need a same-day install in Cape Town, message us anyway. Sometimes there is a gap in the schedule. The worst answer is "tomorrow morning, first slot."
Cape Town-specific considerations
Wind and weather
Cape Town wind sometimes makes outdoor and patio installs trickier than they look. We will assess the airflow at your install location and recommend whether your TV is suitable for the space.
Body corporate rules
Several Atlantic Seaboard buildings and Southern Suburbs complexes require notification or written approval before any drilling. If your block has rules, mention them when you book — we will work with the trustees rather than around them.
Heritage homes
Some Constantia and Newlands homes have heritage protection or sensitive plasterwork. We use lower-impact drilling on heritage installs and discuss any restrictions before we arrive.
Pricing for Cape Town installs
Pricing depends on TV size, bracket type, wall type and cable management. We quote all-in on WhatsApp before booking — no call-out fees, no hidden extras. Pricing is comparable to our Gauteng rates. For a full guideline, see our TV mounting price guide.
